We’re thrilled to announce that we will be creating a team from our students for the VEX IQ Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation! 🚀

Why Should You Take Part?

1. 🧠 Boost Your STEM Skills: Get ready for hands-on, student-centered learning that will enhance your Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) skills. It’s not just a competition; it’s an educational journey that will supercharge your brainpower!

2. 👫 Team Up for Success: Our dream team of 2-6 members will embark on a mission to build the coolest robot ever! Working together, you’ll design, innovate, and bring your robotic creation to life.

3. 📆 Mark Your Calendars: Here’s our game plan for the next academic year:

   • May: Registration opens, and the curtain lifts on a brand-new game! Exciting, right?
   • May Onwards: Team formation time! You begin brainstorming, sketching, and bringing your robot designs to life.
   • September through February: Qualifying competitions are your time to shine. Attend as many as possible, aiming for the ultimate goal – the UK National Championships!
   • Early March: If we make it through, get ready for the grand showdown at the UK National Championships final!

4. 🏆 The Game: Full Volume! Picture this: a 6’ x 8’ rectangular field where the action unfolds. Two robots, one mission – the Teamwork Challenge. In 60-second matches, you’ll work collaboratively, scoring points and proving that teamwork makes the dream work!

5. 🤖 Showcase Your Robot Skills: The Robot Skills Challenge is where your creation takes the spotlight. Drive your robot to victory in the Driving Skills Matches, entirely under your control, and let it shine autonomously in the Autonomous Coding Skills Matches with limited human interaction.
